HB 567 Repeal Passes Senate
The Missouri Senate has officially passed House Bill 567, sending it to Governor Mike Kehoe’s desk for his signature.
Under HB 567, the scheduled increase in Missouri’s minimum wage to $15 per hour will remain in place and take effect on January 1, 2026. However, the bill repeals the provision for automatic annual wage increases tied to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). By removing these automatic adjustments, the legislation ensures that future changes to the minimum wage will no longer occur without additional legislative action.
In addition, HB 567 fully repeals the previously mandated Paid Sick Leave provision. With this repeal, businesses will not be required to provide paid sick leave beyond what they may already offer voluntarily or through existing policies.
If Governor Kehoe signs the bill as expected, HB 567 will become law and go into effect on August 28, 2025.
